SAFTY BOAT TRAINING COURSE We are offering a free Safety Boat Training session on some basic skills, techniques for righting a capsized or inverted dinghy, event safety rules and other useful information that will help with the time you spend in a RIB / Safety Boat, during the racing events. We have got 3 sessions available on the 12th & 22nd September 2010 for you to come down to Hebe and take part in our formal, but very useful, Safety Boat Training Course. There are a maximum of 20 places available on each day session. PLEASURE CRAFT LICENCE TRAINING COURSE If you want to drive a pleasure craft in the Hong Kong water. You are required to hold a Pleasure Vessel Grade II Operator Certificates: 1) Pleasure Craft Master's License Course (Part A) & 2) Pleasure Craft Engineer's Licence Course (Part B) issued by the Hong Kong Marine Department. Students who attend the course will be required to sit their examinations at the H.K. Marine Department after completion of the course. Successful candidates will be entitled to operate a vessel in Hong Kong waters up to 15 meters in length with engines of any power. PLEASURE CRAFT MASTER’S LICENCE COURSE Course Description: Pilotage and Chartwork, Rules, Lights, Shapes and Signals, Steering & Sailing Rules, Seamanship, Weather Information, Local Knowledge and the Laws of Hong Kong . This course prepares you to sit the Marine department 'Pleasure Craft Master's - Grade II' examination.
