HHYC J/80 Keelboat Training

This five-day course combined both HKSF Keelboat 1 & Keelboat 2.

HKSF Keelboat 1 Introduction to Sailing

The aim of this course to provide a short introduction to sailing in a keelboat for those who have never sailed before. By the end of the course participants will have experienced steering a yacht, sail handling, ropework and be aware of safety on board. The emphasis of this course will be largely practical.

HKSF Keelboat 2 Keelboat Competent Crew

By the end of the course the successful sailor will be largely conscious, have a basic knowledge of sailing and be capable of sailing a keelboat with little input from the instructor in light winds. The course introduces personal safety, seamanship and helmsmanship to the level required to be a useful member of the crew of a cruising yacht.
