The individual should have a proven track record of success as a Club General Manager or comparable position with a highly visible, prestigious organization. The ideal candidate will have the ability to remain calm under pressure as well as the ability to consistently execute at a very high level in a high-volume, customer-centric operation. Racing Coordinator
Hebe Haven Yacht Club is a busy Sailing Club that organizes Training Courses, Events & Regattas.
We are recruiting a full time Racing Coordinator to manage the Yacht Racing & Events within the structure of the Sailing Team.
Responsible for management of regatta on-land activities: maintain constant communication with the Sailing Centre Manager & the Sailing Chairperson and the Committee Boat Team; manage regatta catering for all events; all preparation for meetings & ceremonies, interaction with sponsors, VIPs & race officials; communicate sailing/regatta information to the club members & Sailing Community; scoring; handling of protest documentation;
Responsible for communication with Committees & Management: manage finances per event; communicate their needs to the Committee; facilitate trophy orders and all other necessary arrangements.
Responsible for tracking and managing expenses for race specific budget;
Responsible for maintaining regatta schedule for current and future years
Responsible for distribution of Notices, entries, sailing instructions, forms, and other regatta documents for all race events
Responsible for processing of entry fees and regatta fees
Responsible for maintaining all Fleet Mailing lists
Responsible for upkeep of Race portion of the Club web site
Assist Committee Chairperson in creation and distribution of monthly agenda; edit and distribute minutes to the committee
Assist the Sailing Committee in the creation of all regatta notices, forms & documents

Sailing Centre Manager
Job Requirements
English and Cantonese an advantage
Enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with good team ethic
Strong interpersonal and administration skills
Ability to multi-task in high pressure situations
Good working knowledge of sailboat racing and terminology would be a plus
Flexibility in work hours: Must be able to work weekends when Events are scheduled
