ORC Rating System: Try it out at HHYC 2018!

HHYC is introducing the ORC rating system in the Monsoon series in start 1 with the longer course and will include any IRC rated boats, Sportsboats and J80's.

Any boats of similar speed are most welcome to join, and should contact Julie for help with Ratings.

The key advantage of ORC is that it will give ratings to a boat that change automatically according to wind speed and course type. So light fast boats get a better rating in medium winds and heavier boats that do not plane have good handicaps in light or strong winds. Ratings will also change for geometric courses where symmetric kites are good, and Island courses that favor genakers.
