Instructor Pathway

Prefer teaching to racing? Choose the Instructor Development Pathway at HHYC.

Young sailors at HHYC can follow a clear and supportive pathway from learning to sail to becoming qualified instructors. After building strong foundations through our sailing courses, they can step into the role of Assistant Instructor, gaining hands‑on experience while working alongside our coaching team. With this practical knowledge and continued development, many go on to achieve full instructor qualifications. This progression has helped numerous HHYC sailors grow into confident, capable instructors who contribute to Hebe’s vibrant sailing community.
