Our History

A Glimpse Into Our Past

Welcome to the Hebe Haven Yacht Club’s history page, where we celebrate our rich maritime heritage and the vibrant community that has thrived here since our founding in 1963. Explore the milestones that have shaped our club, from the early days of sailing adventures to the establishment of our renowned Sail Training Centre. Join us as we journey through time, highlighting the events and achievements that define our legacy. Discover the stories behind the faces and places that have made Hebe Haven Yacht Club a cherished part of Hong Kong’s nautical history.

These are currently in Draft and are intended to help gather more information from our members. The timelines are currently split into three subjects- Club development, Sailing and the Sail Training Centre. We hope to bring the highlights of each of these together into a “History Wall” on display at the Club. The 7th June 1963 was the date for the Club’s Certificate of Registration, recorded under the Hong Kong Companies Ordinance.
